The street art blog Wooster Collective is opening a three day art show at 11 Spring Street in NYC.
They've got an impressive list of artists participating, including Shepard Fairey, Speto, Borf (who I'm assuming has gotten out of jail --yay!), Thundercut,The Graffiti Research Lab, and Mark Jenkins.
I'm really intrigued by the event's "B.Y.O.B.B" -- Bring Your Own Boom Box -- theme. All of the audio curated and produced by Soundlab will be transmitted via a wireless transmitter to anyone with a radio. They want to create a contantly evolving and roving speaker system that will build over the three days as more people come in. If it works, it could be really interesting.
Also, the artwork in this exhibition will be on the exterior and interior of the building. When the new owners of the building renovate in January all the artwork will be destroyed. So, if you want to see the art, you have to go to the event.
Hours of operation:
Friday, December 15th from 11am to 5pm
Saturday, December 16th from 11am to 5pm
Sunday, December 17th from 11am to 5pm
