Flowers, leaves and succulents! It is no secret that Sonia and I are huge fans of flowers. We love getting and giving them! Here is a set of my photos from a recent trip to Berkeley, California. Within ten minutes from my friend's home, I captured all these glories. It what was suppose to be a dog walk, but it turned into a very fun photo expedition! Check 'em out. Can you pick out the state flower of California?

This past weekend Lori and I stopped by the Anti-Depression Session Craft Market in Brooklyn. There we saw our friends from Brookadelphia and Saltlick (you can see modeling some of their shirts on their site) and some cool new crafters like goosegrease. I practically fell over myself trying to get to GG's booth, where they were selling these adorable wooden dolls.
I splurged for the pink ninja (shown above) as well as a one-eyed pirate, which you can see after the jump along with some other faves from their Etsy site.

Drool, drool, drool. Just got an invite in the mail for an exhibition opening at Barry Friedman galleries. The opening is a collection of photographs from Michael Eastman, all showing amazing interiors.
Each photograph is a burst of inspiration. Some of my fave shots after the jump...

I've only, once in my life, had a bed frame. All other times my mattress and box spring have sat on the ground. For some reason, when my bed is on the ground I feel like it's more secure. This may be residual trauma from the one frame I had -- an antique that felt like it was going to collapse every time my 12 year old body jumped into it. Portraits by Anne Harwell
Usually, I leave all animal related posts to Sonia, but when I saw these portraits, I had to tell everyone! Check out these lovely gouache and acrylic paintings by the talented, self-taught Anne Harwell.
You can follow Harwell's life and passions on her blog Annechovie. She is a Florida resident and her hometown pics remind me of my childhood vacations. Balmy, water-soaked and charming. Although her Etsy shop is stocked with classic chair silhouettes, boxed card sets and house interior paintings, you can commission a painting of your furry beloved or your house. It will be a family heirloom.
Enjoy the mini Q and A.

Zombies, ruffians, bicycles and pin-ups...whoa, my head is spinning. This artist must be after my heart! And yes, for the crazy cat lady in your life, the designer has a feline one. The affordable, laser cut, mat board mobiles can be found at the Salty and Sweet shop via Etsy. Love them.
Around here, zombies are a hit, but I think the dude would love a freestyle MXer one. Maybe a custom one is on order...
